The last of the construction workers has been rescued from the Baltimore Key Bridge collapse site.

The body of the sixth and final construction worker, Jose Mynor Lopez, was recovered from the Key Bridge wreckage site in Baltimore, concluding the recovery effort. Lopez, originally from Guatemala, lived in Dundalk with his wife. Crews also recovered bodies of five other workers. The bridge collapsed after a container ship collided with it, and recovery efforts are ongoing to remove the ship. The Maryland Transportation Authority is planning to rebuild the Key Bridge by fall of 2028, with a cost estimate of under $2 billion. They are working with the federal government to expedite permits for the project.
