In April 2024, Pecker confirmed during a government interview that he did not mention Hope Hicks being present at the August 2015 meeting with Cohen and Trump at Trump Tower. Despite attempts from Bove to clarify this, Pecker confirmed that Hicks was not discussed in his 2018 interview with prosecutors. During the proceedings, Trump and his attorney appeared engaged in conversation. Judge Juan Merchan sustained objections and reviewed the report from the interview. Ultimately, Pecker acknowledged that he did not mention Hicks’ presence at the meeting in question.
