Third individual apprehended during on-campus demonstrations

A person participating in an “Ohio State Gaza Encampment” was arrested on the South Oval. The demonstration against the war in Gaza involved a group led by community members and Students for Justice in Palestine from Ohio State. Despite setting up the encampment early in the morning with around 30 people, the crowd quickly dissipated after the arrest. Ohio State police instructed the crowd to leave, citing violations of the university’s space rules. Two individuals, including an Ohio State employee and a doctoral student, were arrested on charges of criminal trespassing.
