Tornado devastates Minden, Iowa in widespread destruction

Nearly half of Minden, Iowa, was devastated by a tornado that tore through the town. The Pottawattamie County Sheriff’s Office reported that between 40 to 50 homes were destroyed, affecting about half of the town. The tornado hit at 6 p.m. on Friday, causing gas leaks and power outages. Two injuries were reported, with one being severe but not life-threatening. The town of Persia in Iowa is providing assistance to those affected by the storm in Minden. The city is currently without power, and resources are available at the Persia Fire Station for those in need.
