Tornado with winds reaching 165 mph sweeps Nebraska brothers from their home.

Nebraska brothers Royce and Roger Slatten recount their survival of an EF-3 tornado that destroyed their home, leaving them buried in rubble. The tornado pulled their home apart, sucking them out and tossing them with debris. As the tornado approached, they ran to the basement but were quickly overwhelmed by the force. Roger was buried in the yard, protected by debris, while Royce feared for his brother’s life. Both brothers suffered injuries but were relieved to find each other alive. The tornado caused massive destruction over 31 miles, but miraculously, no people died.
