Train Conductor Caught in the Path of Nebraska Tornado Caught on Video

A train conductor in Nebraska found himself directly in the path of an EF-3 tornado on April 26 in Waverly. The tornado, part of a severe weather outbreak responsible for over 100 tornadoes across the Plains and Midwest, knocked over train cars and broke windows. Despite the approaching twister, the conductor and engineer remained relatively calm, even recording the sound of the tornado whipping around debris. The tornado derailed 31 cars but luckily, both crew members were unharmed. The NWS later confirmed the tornado as an EF-3 with wind speeds up to 158 mph. No injuries were reported by BNSF Railway.
