A freight train derailed near the Arizona-New Mexico border, closing Interstate 40 due to severe weather. New Mexico State Police and other agencies responded to the scene, where the train was carrying gasoline and propane, causing a fire. Despite the proximity to the busy interstate, no injuries were reported. The aftermath showed the train toppled over, following a tornado in the region. The Interstate was closed in all directions as fire officials worked to extinguish the flames. Traffic was diverted in both Arizona and New Mexico as authorities responded to the incident.
