U.S. Department of Defense: Biden Administration Provides Further Security Assistance to Ukraine

The Department of Defense announced additional security assistance for Ukraine, marking the fifty-seventh tranche since August 2021. The $400 million package includes air defense systems, artillery rounds, armored vehicles, anti-tank weapons, and other capabilities. The assistance includes munitions for Patriot and NASAMS systems, Stinger missiles, HIMARS, artillery rounds, infantry fighting vehicles, armored personnel carriers, missile systems, coastal patrol boats, protective equipment, and spare parts. The US will work with allies to ensure Ukraine’s defense against Russian aggression.
