US Airman fatally shot by police in Florida

Florida police released body camera footage from a deputy sheriff who shot and killed US Air Force member Senior Airman Roger Fortson. The police claimed Fortson was armed with a gun and the shooting was in self-defence, but the victim’s family lawyer alleged they went to the wrong home. The sheriff’s office denied this, saying the deputy identified himself before shooting. Fortson, who was alone at home, was fatally shot after answering a knock on the door. He was a special ops airman known for his patriotism. The shooting is under investigation by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
