Venezuelan Woman Allegedly Stabs Man During Domestic Dispute

A Venezuelan national was arrested and charged with stabbing in the east end of El Paso on Saturday, April 13. The incident began as a domestic dispute, as reported by the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office. Hospital staff alerted a deputy at University Medical Center about a possible aggravated assault. Officers then spoke with the victim’s brother, who stated that the victim was stabbed at his residence on the 13000 block of Bachimba Dr. in far east El Paso. Further investigation revealed that the suspect, identified only as a Venezuelan national, and his wife were involved in a domestic assault. The victim tried to intervene, leading to the suspect stabbing the victim, according to the Sheriff’s Office. The suspect was taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and assault/family violence. The extent of the victim’s injuries was not disclosed.
