Victims in West Richland double homicide: What we know

Amber Marie Rodriguez was a beloved para-educator and mother who was shot and killed outside William Wiley Elementary School on April 22. Anjelica Santos, known as “Jelly,” was also killed by the same man, Elias Huizar, who was her ex-husband and also the father of her 1-year-old son. Huizar fled the state with the child and was later found in Oregon, where he died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound after a pursuit with police. Rodriguez was described as a loving mother, while Santos was just 17 years old when she died. Santos’ cause of death is still pending an autopsy.
