WashU announces suspensions following Gaza War protests

Washington University in St. Louis confirmed that 100 people, including students, faculty, and activists, were arrested on its campus during a protest over the war in Gaza. 23 students were among those arrested and were temporarily suspended, with instructions to immediately leave campus housing. Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein was also arrested during the protest. The university’s Faculty for Justice in Palestine criticized the use of force against protestors. The university stated that the protest became disruptive and potentially dangerous, leading to the arrests of 100 individuals, including students and employees, for trespassing and other charges.
