Watch as a massive blaze erupts on a historic pier in Southern California

A massive fire broke out at a vacant restaurant at the end of the Oceanside Pier in North County San Diego. The fire department confirmed the fire and asked citizens to stay away. The wooden pier, built in 1888, is a key feature of the beachside city. Video showed smoke billowing over the pier, seen from miles away. The fire also affected a fish shack. The Coast Guard, Sheriff’s Department, and Gas & Electric worked to combat the blaze. No official word on injuries or cause of fire yet.
