In The Fall Guy, Gosling portrays Colt Seavers, a Hollywood stuntman who is roped into helping his ex, a movie director played by Blunt, when her lead star goes missing. Blunt and Gosling discussed their characters’ intense on-screen chemistry in an interview with ET.
“Colt is willing to do anything he can to get her back,” Blunt explained. She added, “Ultimately, the chemistry they have is going to override the desire to try to keep things ‘profesh’.”
“When people meet on set it’s called a ‘showmance’—but what they have is much more than that,” Gosling added.

The movie is inspired by the 1980s TV series of the same name, which aired on ABC for five seasons and starred Lee Majors as Colt Seavers and Heather Thomas as Jody Banks.
