Watch the Trailer for the Upcoming Sequel: Hell House LLC: Lineage

“Hell House LLC” is a testament to remarkable indie cinema, continually captivating audiences since its debut at the 2015 Telluride Horror Show. Initially, it appeared to be another low-budget horror movie without any recognizable actors. Stephen Cognetti, who both wrote and directed the film, was relatively unknown at the time.

Despite its humble beginnings, “Hell House LLC” began to garner attention from horror aficionados, myself included. In 2016, I stumbled across it while browsing free horror movies on Prime. The overwhelmingly positive reviews intrigued me, so I decided to give it a watch. I was pleasantly surprised; as a long-time horror fan, I rarely encounter films that can genuinely unsettle me. “Hell House LLC” was one of those rare gems.

The movie’s rise in popularity saw it stream across multiple on-demand platforms in 2016 before finally becoming available on Shudder. The horror streaming service also picked up its sequels as exclusive content.

The plot of the original film revolves around a Halloween haunted house attraction operated by a group of friends. For years, they had successfully run the seasonal event. However, this year, they chose to host it at the abandoned Abaddon Hotel. Disaster struck on opening night, resulting in the tragic deaths of 15 guests and staff members.

Presented in a found-footage style, the story unfolds in under 90 minutes, packed with intense moments, jump scares, and chilling visuals. Whether or not clowns typically frighten you, the clowns in “HHLLC” will certainly send shivers down your spine.

Following the success of the first film, three sequels were released: “The Abaddon Hotel,” “Lake of Fire,” and “Origins: The Carmichael Manor,” the latter from last year. While these sequels may not match the original’s impact, they still offer their moments of fright and are well worth watching.

Now, Stephen Cognetti and Terror Films have released a teaser for a new installment in the “Hell House LLC” universe. Cognetti returns as writer and director, with Joe Bandelli as producer. Terror Films’ Joe Dain and Jim Clock are on board as executive producers.

Details about the plot remain scarce. However, a report from Screen Anarchy suggests that the upcoming sequel will delve deeper into the backstories of various characters from the franchise while also introducing new characters and storylines.
