Below Deck Mediterranean continues to make waves as it sails through its ninth season on Bravo, captivating its audience like never before. While Captain Sandy Yawn and Chief Stew Aesha Scott have been standout leaders aboard the Mustique, another dynamic duo is also gaining attention: deckhands Joe Bradley and Nathan Gallagher. The connection between the Liverpudlian and Irishman was immediate, driven by their similar personalities, charm, and efficiency in their duties.

Gallagher’s affections were solely directed towards fellow deckhand Gael Cameron, while Bradley found himself entangled between stews Elena “Elle” Dubiach and Bri Muller. Bradley, transparent about his intention of not seeking a girlfriend, dismissed the notion that he should choose between the two women. “What am I doing? Just having a flirt,” Bradley said. “Am I doing anything wrong at the young age of 27 and exploring?” Gallagher supported this view, explaining that Bradley was naturally “dating on the yacht,” an expectation during a charter season.

Even after Below Deck Med, Bradley and Gallagher confirmed that they’ve maintained a strong friendship. “Every single day since the day we met, we’ve been in contact,” Bradley shared. Gallagher added, “We’re having, like, four- or five-hour phone calls every day. It’s crazy.” Their camaraderie was especially evident in a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.

The pair joined DECIDER via Zoom to discuss their experiences, mishaps, and light-hearted moments. Reflecting on their fun times with Andy Cohen, Gallagher reminisced about sharing a humorous moment in the restroom, highlighting their spontaneous nature. When questioned about their charm, Bradley jokingly estimated it to be 76.4% the accent, while Gallagher slightly disagreed with 74.9%, emphasizing their cheeky personalities and self-confidence.

Fans wondered if they’d stay in touch post-season, but both were confident in their bond. They admitted to being huge reality TV fans prior to joining the show and felt grateful for the opportunity. Bradley noted that without Gallagher, his season might not have been as enjoyable.

The bosun Iain also left an impression on Bradley and Gallagher. Bradley found Iain’s confidence and physical presence reassuring, while Gallagher appreciated his guidance despite occasional challenges, acknowledging the complexities of yachting.

Bradley addressed the love triangle involving Elle and Bri, clarifying his openness about his intentions. He rejected the notion that his actions were hurtful, pointing out that he was simply having fun and would have stopped if someone expressed discomfort. Gallagher defended Bradley, explaining that dating on a yacht does not require immediate commitment.

Gallagher, on the other hand, confessed his admiration for Gael, initially drawn by her appearance but later captivated by her personality.

On a lighter note, the duo discussed the allure of strawberries, agreeing that the fruit’s subtleness, juiciness, and eye appeal make it inherently sexy.

Bradley elaborated that he was never concerned about Gallagher and Gael’s dynamic affecting work, confident in their professionalism. He supported Gallagher by advising caution to maintain work dynamics.

Gallagher humorously recounted how he didn’t realize a camera was filming him on the first night out. He also discussed a significant mishap where he and a charter guest got stuck at sea on paddle boards, needing rescue by a nearby catamaran due to strong currents.

In lighter moments, Bradley revealed his go-to karaoke song is “Crazy” by Gnarls Barkley, while Gallagher preferred One Direction’s “Night Changes.” Their love for One Direction underscored their playful personalities.
