Zach Bryan’s The Great American Bar Scene has soared to No. 1 on multiple Billboard charts dated July 20, showing impressive success in its first full tracking week. Notably, it climbed to the top of the nearly nine-month-old Top Streaming Albums tally, moving swiftly to the No. 1 spot from No. 18.

The album, released on July 4, was reflected in the July 13-dated Billboard charts and made an immediate impact across several rankings from day one. Leading the Top Streaming Albums list, the album earned 127,500 streaming equivalent album (SEA) units in the U.S. between July 5-11, according to Luminate. This SEA total translates to 163.9 million on-demand official streams generated by the album’s 19 tracks.

On the Billboard 200 chart—which includes SEA, album sales, and track equivalent album (TEA) units—The Great American Bar Scene rocketed from No. 17 to No. 2, marking Bryan’s fourth appearance in the top 10. Meanwhile, Taylor Swift continues her reign at No. 1 with The Tortured Poets Department. This shift marks the first time in four months that the top spots of these two charts differ.

In addition to leading the Top Streaming Albums chart, The Great American Bar Scene also commands the Top Country Albums, Top Rock Albums, Top Rock & Alternative Albums, and Americana/Folk Albums charts. This achievement makes it Bryan’s third No. 1 in each of these four rankings.

On the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart, 17 tracks from The Great American Bar Scene made their way onto the tally, with “Pink Skies” leading at No. 12.

The Top Streaming Albums chart ranks the week’s most-streamed albums in the U.S. based on streaming equivalent album (SEA) units. Each SEA unit equals 3,750 ad-supported or 1,250 paid/subscription on-demand official audio and video streams generated by songs from the album. All July 20, 2024-dated charts will be posted in full on the Billboard website on July 16.
