Zenless Zone Zero Teams Up With Lofi Girl

Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ) and Lofi Girl recently surprised fans with a collaboration they didn’t realize they needed. miHoYo, the developer behind ZZZ, shared the lofi beats playlist on their official YouTube music channel, HoYoFair.

The video opens with Lofi Girl in her familiar setting, studying diligently. After a few seconds, the scene transitions to Belle from ZZZ working on her desktop. The artwork, designed and animated by Lofi Girl herself, is impeccable. Instead of the usual laptop, Belle is seen using her PC, with the familiar cat now joined by a cute little Bangboo sitting atop the monitor.

The environment is a reimagined version of Belle’s room, featuring stacked televisions used by her and her brother Wise to enter the Hollow. A glimpse of New Eridu can be seen through the window. Lofi Girl has cleverly placed a YouTube video of her lofi playlist on Belle’s computer screen. It appears Belle is using a Windows 11 desktop and enjoying lofi beats on YouTube via Google Chrome. Lofi Girl’s attention to detail will undoubtedly delight ZZZ fans.

Lofi Girl didn’t just design and animate the video loop; she also mixed and produced the lofi beats for the playlist. The playlist contains 10 tracks inspired by Zenless Zone Zero’s universe. Here is the full list of tracks:

– Nicole Demara – Character Demo
– Nekomata – Character Demo
– Billy – Character Demo
– 19%
– Gacha
– Endless Construction Day – Night
– Ballet Labyrinth – Night
– Summer Jam
– Chaos Alpha
– Derailed Order – Night

It’s no surprise that these tracks resemble the background music typically heard while playing ZZZ, as they fit perfectly with the game’s ambiance.

The collaboration, uploaded on YouTube on July 11, 2024, has been well-received by fans. Some were pleasantly surprised by the collaboration, while others praised miHoYo for their innovative marketing approach. Many fans are impressed that ZZZ has already garnered multiple collaborations despite being out for less than a month.

Lofi Girl isn’t the first music producer miHoYo has collaborated with for Zenless Zone Zero. Before this, they partnered with Grammy Award-winning producer and DJ Tiesto, releasing the song ZENLESS, which is available on ZZZ’s official YouTube channel.

Considering the existing soundtracks, it’s plausible that an official album release might be on the horizon. miHoYo has a history of launching soundtrack albums for their games, as seen with the EP for Honkai: Star Rail’s Robin, which included tracks like Hope Is the Thing With Feathers, Sway to My Beat in Cosmos (Robin Ultimate song), and If I Can Stop One Heart From Breaking.

With this trend in mind, it seems ZZZ is poised to become a standout in miHoYo’s music offerings.
