Aimee Lou Wood & David Morrissey’s Charming New Sitcom

Sex Education’s Aimee Lou Wood showcases her comedic talent once more in Daddy Issues, a new father-and-daughter sitcom. Wood plays Gemma, a lively twentysomething hairdresser who finds herself pregnant after a one-night stand. In a twist of fate, she is left in a tight spot when her flatmate moves out. To solve her financial woes and find a roof over her head, she moves back in with her sweet but somewhat pathetic dad, Malcolm, portrayed by David Morrissey. Malcolm is struggling after Gemma’s mum walked out on him, taking their money with her. Adding to the family chaos, Gemma’s outspoken but endearing sister Catherine, played by Sharon Rooney, is in prison. The story unfolds as a sweet, funny, and touching narrative of mending relationships after hitting rock bottom.
