Billy Joel Shares Photos of Daughter’s 9th Birthday, Calls Her “Mini-Billy”

Billy Joel’s little girl isn’t so little anymore. On August 12, the Piano Man shared a sweet dedication to his daughter, Della Rose. The young girl looks a lot like her famous dad and apparently has similar singing chops.

He wrote, “Happy 9th Birthday, Della Rose. Watching you grow and shine, keeps us all in awe. We love you.”

Billy’s fans quickly joined in to celebrate his daughter’s birthday. One fan wrote, “Happy Birthday to her! I was just driving and listening to your radio channel as you described the inspiration behind some of your songs. I just thinking about what a great teacher you must be for your children and how that will surely help her no matter what she would like to pursue.”

Many who have heard her sing think she has big things ahead. Another fan noted, “Still can’t believe the confidence she had on stage in Cardiff at only 8 years old. The future is bright! Happy Birthday, Della.”

Fans were impressed with her stage presence, like this person who said, “You are amazing. I loved you on stage with dad. Keep singing beautiful one.” Another added, “Gorgeous girl! She was amazing up there on that stage singing to her daddy’s song!”

Billy shares Della and another daughter, Remy, with his wife Alexis Roderick, whom he married in 2015. The family recently gathered at Madison Square Garden on July 25 to celebrate the end of his 10-year residency and his 150th show at the iconic venue. Billy decided to step away from Madison Square Garden to spend more time with his family.

Throughout his illustrious career, Billy Joel has had 33 Top 40 hits, with three reaching the top spot. He has also had four number-one albums and won six Grammys. An impressive achievement for a boy from the Bronx. However, ending his residency at Madison Square Garden doesn’t mark his retirement. Fans can rest easy knowing Billy isn’t going anywhere.
