Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg seem to be close to finalizing their much-anticipated joint album, Missionary. In a recent interview with Michelle Turner of Entertainment Tonight, the iconic producer shared that the album is currently in the mixing stage. Though a few tracks still need polishing, there’s growing excitement for a potential November release.

“I aimed for 14 songs, but Snoop wants 16. So, we’re negotiating that right now,” Dr. Dre said.

“I’m on the eleventh mix currently. Everything needs to be completed and delivered by September 1st for that November release date.”

Diving deeper into the album’s creation, Dr. Dre revealed a fascinating detail: Sting, the legendary front man of The Police, has contributed to the project.

“We’ve got a track featuring Sting. There’s an impressive roster of talent on this album,” Dr. Dre added.

“Honestly, I probably shouldn’t have said that,” he chuckled, hinting at more surprises in store.

Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg have been an influential pair in the music industry for over three decades. From their classic track “Deep Cover” to the groundbreaking album Doggystyle, the duo has delivered countless hits. Yet, Dr. Dre believes Missionary will showcase a different side of their collaboration.

“This project will highlight a different level of maturity in Snoop’s lyrics and my music,” he explained.

“In fact, I feel like this is some of the best music I’ve ever created in my career.”

The excitement surrounding Missionary continues to build as fans eagerly await what promises to be another unforgettable chapter in the storied careers of these two hip-hop legends.
