Kate Middleton Called Meghan Markle to ‘Clear the Air’ Post Bombshell Book

Meghan Markle reportedly received a call from Kate Middleton in a bid to “clear the air” following the release of a controversial book. The Duchess of Cambridge aimed to “ease the tension” after Omid Scobie’s explosive publication rekindled racial debates within the Royal Family.

This controversy dates back to more than two years ago when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made allegations during their bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey. They expressed their distress over “concerns and conversations” regarding the skin color of their son, Prince Archie, which sent shockwaves through the monarchy.

The situation flared up again late last year as Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cambridge found themselves involved after the publication of Omid Scobie’s book, Endgame.

It has now been suggested that the Duchess of Cambridge reached out to Meghan in the midst of this turmoil. A source told In Touch Weekly, “Shortly after the book’s allegations came out, Kate reached out to Meghan to clear the air.” The source also noted that Prince Charles had prompted Kate to make the call, stating, “Charles forced Kate to become his peacemaker after William’s refusal.”

“She agreed because when it comes to the royal family, Kate has always taken her duties seriously—she does what she is told,” the insider added.

The source further elaborated, “This feud has gotten so unseemly and out of hand, it’s starting to overshadow his reign and the entire monarchy. He wants to heal the rift once and for all.”

Omid Scobie made headlines again when he revealed that he had initially identified the alleged “royal racists” in an early draft of his book. He explained that “uncleared text” was sent to a Dutch publisher, with the intention of revising the translation to match the finalized version.

Yet, Dutch publisher Xander Uitgevers claimed that the naming of Charles and Kate was a mistake. Omid denied multiple times that he had ever named the royals, telling the BBC, “The book I wrote, the book I edited, the book I signed off on, did not have names in it.”

However, in an article for i online, he stated, “The only publisher I worked directly with was the one covering the US and UK.”
