Tom Cruise Leaps from Stade de France to Reveal LA ’28 Hollywood Logo

Tom Cruise set the stage for the transition from the 2024 Paris Games to the 2028 Los Angeles Games in spectacular fashion by leaping from the Stade de France during the closing ceremony on Sunday.

After singer H.E.R. delivered the U.S. national anthem, the 62-year-old actor emerged at the top of the stadium. Camera locked in, Cruise, harness securely fastened, launched himself off and gracefully descended to the ground.

Cruise mingled with the Olympic athletes, generously handing out high fives and posing for selfies. He then approached the stage to retrieve the Olympic flag from Los Angeles mayor Karen Bass and gymnastics superstar Simone Biles.

In a nod to his role in “Top Gun: Maverick,” Cruise mounted a motorbike and rode out of the Stade de France, navigating the streets of Paris before reaching a plane in a previously filmed sequence.

Not one to shy away from dramatic exits, Cruise parachuted out of the aircraft, landing in Los Angeles. He scaled up to the iconic Hollywood sign, where he attached the Olympic rings and handed the flag off to cyclist Kate Courtney.

The ceremony continued in Los Angeles with electrifying performances from the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Billie Eilish, Snoop Dogg, and Dr. Dre, ensuring the transition to the next Olympic Games was as memorable as ever.
