Travis Kelce won’t propose to Taylor Swift without an ‘ironclad prenup’: report

Travis Kelce won’t be proposing to Taylor Swift without having an “ironclad prenup,” according to a report from Life & Style.

An insider revealed to the publication, “There’s just no way Taylor would walk down the aisle without a prenup.”

While the couple is reportedly discussing what their agreement might look like, they haven’t finalized anything yet due to their busy schedules and the complicated logistics that come with managing their significant assets.

The source explained, “The formalities are just their schedules that have gotten in the way, as well as the logistics of a prenup, which is obviously complicated by the vast amounts of money involved on both sides.”

Both Travis and Taylor consider themselves unofficially engaged and are fully committed to spending their lives together, including starting a family.

Representatives for Swift and Kelce have not yet responded to requests for comments.

As reported in December 2023, the football star asked Taylor’s father, Scott Swift, for her hand in marriage, receiving wholehearted support.

A source close to Kelce suggested earlier this month that an engagement is “happening soon.”

The couple, both 34 years old, have been dating for just over a year. They made their relationship public in September 2023 when Taylor cheered on Travis during his NFL game against the Chicago Bears at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.

Shortly after their relationship went public, Kelce demonstrated his commitment by purchasing a $6 million mansion for increased privacy.

Taylor supported the Chiefs at 13 games last season, including at Super Bowl LVIII, where she witnessed Travis win his third championship.

Kelce has also been incredibly supportive of Taylor’s career, traveling worldwide to watch her perform during her record-breaking Eras Tour. He even made a surprise appearance on stage with her during a London show in July.

Last December, Taylor confirmed that she and Travis are committed to publicly supporting each other.

Although the Eras Tour will overlap with the 2024-2025 football season, an insider told People in July that the 14-time Grammy winner plans to attend as many games as possible.

Taylor made it clear that she is willing to support Travis publicly, even if it means being in the spotlight. “When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other, other people are there and we don’t care,” she said during her Time 2023 Person of the Year profile.
