Who Are Ashes & Arrows, the Surprise Semifinalists on AGT 2024?

The band Ashes & Arrows, also known as Ashes and Arrows, emerged as an unexpected semifinalist on America’s Got Talent. This three-man musical group advanced beyond the quarterfinals of the AGT 2024 live shows, surprising many by earning more votes than some favorites, such as golden buzzer-winner Liv Warfield. Ashes & Arrows is a country/rock band that formed in downtown Asheville in 2021 during an open mic night. They launched their first Extended Play, titled Forward, in 2022.

According to their official website, the name Ashes & Arrows reflects both Asheville, North Carolina, and Arrowtown, New Zealand. The group consists of three members: vocalist and pianist Benjamin Voigt, vocalist and guitarist Ciaran McMeeken, and vocalist and guitarist Jonathan Calhoun. Their musical inspirations include The Avett Brothers, Judah & The Lion, and NEEDTOBREATHE.

Despite being a relatively new band, Ashes & Arrows have an impressive collection of original songs that could feature in future performances.
