The band Ashes & Arrows, also known as Ashes and Arrows, emerged as an unexpected semifinalist on America’s Got Talent. This three-man musical group advanced beyond the quarterfinals of the AGT 2024 live shows, surprising many by earning more votes than some favorites, such as golden buzzer-winner Liv Warfield. While NBC has shared some aspects of the folk band’s journey, there are additional details about them that fans might find interesting. Here’s what we know so far about Ashes & Arrows on AGT Season 19.

Ashes & Arrows became semifinalists for AGT 2024 after securing enough votes during the results show on August 14, 2024.

So far, the band has performed two original songs – “Born To Love” during the auditions and “Wild Horses” in the quarterfinals. This is noteworthy as many other participants on the show tend to perform covers of well-known songs.

To reach the finale and compete for the $1 million grand prize, Ashes & Arrows will need to advance through the semifinal round, expected to begin around September 10, 2024, since the quarterfinals will take three weeks to complete. Even if they don’t clinch the top spot, their performances will undoubtedly elevate their profile, offering them significant exposure.

Ashes & Arrows is a country/rock band that formed in downtown Asheville in 2021 during an open mic night. They launched their first Extended Play, titled Forward, in 2022.

According to their official website, the name Ashes & Arrows reflects both Asheville, North Carolina, and Arrowtown, New Zealand. The group consists of three members: vocalist and pianist Benjamin Voigt, vocalist and guitarist Ciaran McMeeken, and vocalist and guitarist Jonathan Calhoun. Their musical inspirations include The Avett Brothers, Judah & The Lion, and NEEDTOBREATHE.

Despite being a relatively new band, Ashes & Arrows have an impressive collection of original songs that could feature in future performances. These include “The Crown” and “On The Run,” available on Spotify. From their album Forward, there’s “Back to Your Body,” “Gold in the Mountain,” and more. They also have a range of music videos on their YouTube page, including “It’s Alright,” “Pirate Song,” “Song Remains the Same,” and others.

Ashes & Arrows have plans to release an album in the future, with production by Jamie Tate, a Grammy and Emmy award-winning mixer and recording engineer.
