“Wine is life, family, happiness and culture”, Pardo path. Founder of Nexus & Frontaura wineries
Pardo Path and Ulpiano González They are the alma mater of two wineries with different designations of origin, but with a common and iron soul that makes them shake hands. They consider themselves “heirs of history”, of families linked to the wine world since almost immemorial times in an area where tradition is strong and recognized. On the one hand Nexus, Ribera del Duero and Pesquera del Duero denomination wines. For the other, Frontaura and its suggestive Toro wines. We are talking about wines with a unique personality. Of those, that one enjoys in every sip. A genuine product, the fruit of effort of a dedicated and passionate couple who live by and for each of the vines in their vineyards. Wines from the Castilian lands that bathe the Douro River. Broths loaded with tradition, made with care and dedication with a common soul on the banks of the Duero. From traditional nuanced reds to fresh rosés and sensual whites, the family Nexus & Frontaura has to ask of mouth.

Our visit to bodegas Frontaura, in Zamora, it is at the time of vintage. We arrived, as they say, with the vineyards in bloom And that, inevitably, lends itself to the visit being marked by an unequaled poetic halo. “The wine culture is a culture that grabs you and you end up surrendering to it,” says Camino with a straightness and clarity that surprises from the first moment. We are in the lands of Castile and that, it shows even in the walk. Here, life passes at a different pace, in a different tone, and traditional values are embraced without thinking. About Camino and Ulpiano, it can only be said that in addition to being dedicated owners to their wineries, they are exceptional hosts.
«Our NEXUS & FRONTAURA reds are positioned in the international market, marketed in more than 25 countries as a benchmark for Spanish wine. In our trajectory they have received prestigious national and international recognitions »

«In that enchantment of centuries, of history, of art and beauty, I met people, welcoming, surprising people, people who, by reaching out, give their hearts, and invite us to share the table … The delicious Nexus & Frontaura wine was the star, the spark that ignited the joy, the wine sang in the glasses that were raised and the friendship reached, to the ends of the soul », Poem ‘Discover the charm’, María Teresa Picco
Toro wines: Frontaura & Victoria

The brand FRONTAURA & VICTORIA has its historical roots in the Palace-House of the Frontaura and Victoria, in the historic center of Toro, constituting in itself a hallmark that D. Pedro de Aponte ordered its construction in 1574. The winery has 85 hectares of vineyard in production on its farm Valdelacasa payment, from the variety of Tempranillo Tinta de Toro, which acquires this name due to its peculiar uniqueness in its adaptation to the area: microclimate with a certain humidity, softening the winds over stony terroirs, and with a sandy texture, seasoned by an extreme continental climate, and by the constant light that a fruit gives us. different and concentrated. Juicy, warm wines, rich in fruit, color and aromas, which traditionally watered the tables of the European courts.
«We are all the same when it comes to wine. It’s the same. The product is always interesting. Because it interests … it’s something cultural »
Bodega Nexus
“Its values are land, fruit, time and silence”

Nexus It was born at the same time as Frontaura, also in 2000, “crystallizing our commitment to our territory of origin, in a wine-growing area of the most unique in Spain and internationally recognized.” Its values are land, fruit, time and silence. The starting point is respect for the uniqueness of the variety Tempranillo, with 65 ha. own vineyard, (40 ha in full production and 25 ha more of new formation). The conditions of its soils make it possible to produce refined passion red reds, whose protagonist is the fruit and the balance between the potential of the same variety, with the elegance of a production process that requires care and patience.
Camino Pardo, the tireless spirit of Nexus & Frontaura
“I have reached where I never thought I was going to go. In fact, I no longer remember what my life was like before wine »
Woman of arms take, Road is an open book. Someone who loves what he does and that, it shows from a distance. Its as simple as it is cultured, it is a person of gestures and details, in which it does not stop repairing. Her spontaneity led her to dedicate to COOL, the opening of its Grand Reserve. Something that led us to toast with great emotion and that made the visit even more pleasant, if possible. “I have reached where I never thought I was going to go. In fact, I no longer remember what my life was like before wine », he assures us with a laugh.
