The companies have presented the results for the second quarter of fiscal year 2021, which will conclude on March 31. Capcom has uncovered its numbers in a financial report in which its best-known sagas are not lacking. After announcing that Resident Evil Village has sold at a faster rate than its predecessor, it has also reported on many other titles, such as Street Fighter V o Monster Hunter Rise.
To date, Capcom’s popular fighting game has sold 6 million copies, 200,000 more since the last data update in June 2021. Street Fighter V is one of the oldest titles in the genre. It began its journey in February 2016 surrounded by criticism, since it went on the market with serious problems in its online modalities and lacking in content. However, as the months and years went by, the developers nurtured the product with new fighters, scenarios and game modes, some free and others paid.
Monster Hunter Rise came out on Nintendo Switch last March and will also be released on PC. The new delivery has done very well in the market, since it already accumulates 7.5 million units sold, which represents an increase of some 200,000 copies with respect to the figures previously provided.
