The time for announcements has come. Geoff Keighley, journalist and presenter of The Game Awards, has been commissioned to open the German fair at the Gamescom 2021 Open Night Live gala, which has been the scene of new announcements. South Korean developer Pearl Abyss has taken the opportunity to show a new DokeV gameplay trailer, a Creature-filled open-world action-adventure game.
A colorful and carefree game
The title, currently in development, has been built on its own technology, so the graphics engine has been designed by the studio itself. In the trailer we witness one of the main mechanics of the video game, which allows us to collect the creatures that roam the world, the Dokebi. Many of the main features of the title, including its real-time combat system, boss fights or transport methods, have also appeared in the video. As if that weren’t enough, the game allows you to fish.
Geoff Keighley has shown himself excited about the video game: “We are proud to be working with Pearl Abyss again on the debut of DokeV’s new look, as part of Gamescom Opening Night Live. I always try to offer a diverse group of games at my shows. The lively and colorful world of DokeV has fitted the show very well, ”he says.
For his part, the lead producer of the video game at Pearl Abyss, Sangyoung Kim, had this to say: “Although the DokeV project is still in development, we are very proud to have been able to show it today. We are confident that we have met and exceeded your expectations. At Pearl Abyss we are excited to see your reactions and we hope you are looking forward to playing DokeV.
The game is planned for both consoles and PC, although there is no release date yet. According to the official press release, they will announce the launch window soon, so we will have to wait a little longer.
