King Von was shot dead on the 6th of November, 2020. Initially, it came as a rumor. However, later his close friends confirmed the news, putting all his fans and others in utter shock. The saddest part of this incident is that his death happened just one week after the release of his new album, ‘Welcome to O’Block’. 

His autopsy reports were also leaked all over the internet.

Who Was King Von? 

Dayvon Daquan Bennett, professionally known as King Von, was born on the 9th of August, 1994, in Chicago. The rapper and songwriter was signed to Lil Durk’s record label, Only the Family and Empire Distribution. 

King Von was raised in the crime-ridden O Block neighborhood, which had an immense influence on him during his teenage life. He resorted to the crime himself and spent a portion of his teenage years in and out of the prison. His life took a fresh turn when the rapper began to write songs in 2018. 

After listening to some of his early tracks, Lil Durk took an interest in the rapper and welcomed him into the Only the Family collective. It is where his career began to flourish. His early single, Problems, gained some popularity. Later on, his captivating narrative of a robbery-turned-shootout on Crazy Story broke all the records and spread to a larger audience. By this time, King Von was the star. 

The video of Crazy Story was released in late 2018 and was streamed over 20 million times. Since then, there was no stopping for the rapper.

A Party to Many Legal Issues 

Throughout his life, the rapper was a party to any legal issues. On November 21, 2012, he was arrested and booked into Cook County jail for unlawful possession of a firearm. He was again arrested on July 24, 2014, in connection with a shooting in May 2014. The shooting resulted in the death of several men and caused injury to two others. 

Von was also charged with one count of murder and two counts of attempted murder. 

In June 2019, King Von and fellow Chicago rapper Lil Durk were arrested regarding a shooting in Atlanta. He and Durk appeared before a judge for a probable cause hearing. According to the persecutors, two men robbed and shot a man outside a famous Atlanta drive-in. 

How did King Von Die? 

The death of the rapper was an unfortunate event. The incident took place on the 6th of November, 2020. 

King Von was involved in a heated argument in a downtown Atlanta nightclub between two groups. One of them was associated with the rapper, Quando Rondo. The dispute aggravated so much, thus resulting in a shootout. 

Two officers attempted to break in with additional gunfire. King Von was shot by the group and was subsequently taken to the hospital in critical condition. The rapper died later that day. 

The shootout killed two people and wounded four. One of the shooters was placed in police custody for the murder of the rapper. He was identified as Timothy Leeks. 

Autopsy Report of the Rapper Leaked 

After King Von’s death, his autopsy report was leaked everywhere on the internet and social media platforms. According to it, a gunshot wound to the torso of the rapper was the cause of his death. Another victim, Mark Blakley, also died during the shootout.

The snapshots are extremely graphic, showing the deceased lying on the autopsy table while his chest is covered with stitches. One can also see his tattoos in the photos. Fans of the rapper expressed their displeasure with these stolen photographs and called them disgusting. 

According to rumors, King Von’s killers released the photo and reports of his autopsy. Even the rapper’s sister shared her displeasure and called this leaking of photos negligence on the part of the authorities. 

The murderer, Timothy Leeks, was freed from Fulton County Jail last year after paying a bond of $100,000. King Von’s fans did not appreciate his release.
