The actress did it as an invitation to the new version of iCarly which will be released in the next few days.
Miranda Cosgrove is giving her fans a sweet reference in the new opening of iCarly.
During Wednesday, June 9, Paramount + shared the new opening that will have the long-awaited continuation of the show. The video surprised her millions of fans for several reasons, such as that the actress recreated her iconic meme that arose thanks to an episode of Drake & Josh. Click the video above to watch it!
The new version of iCarly will show her fans what happened to the vlogger and her friends, as they try to find a balance in their years as young adults. Several stars from the original cast including Jerry Trainor (Spencer) and Nathan Kress (Freddie) will also return in their roles.
One of the few people who will not appear in this version is Jennette McCurdy, who played Sam Puckett in the original series. As she explained in an episode of her podcast in February, she gave up acting several years ago due to feeling a bit embarrassed about her past projects.
In early June, Miranda told E! News in an exclusive interview that although he “seriously wanted” Jennette to be part of the project, he is also “happy for her because I know that her life took her in a new direction and she is very happy with what she is doing.”
