GPD, a Chinese company that manufactures mobile devices designed for the video game sector, has presented its new proposal with the Android operating system, GPD XP. A modernized version of previous models in order to serve as ideal platform in design and construction to play FPS or MOBA titles.

One modular design that will allow to change the right chassis of the machine; Either we prefer action commands in a vertical arrangement or a traditional one with action buttons and joystick. All keeping in mind these two genres, clear dominators of the mobile market today. GPD XP will have a large unit, presumably with a panel of more than 6 inches in diagonal, in which the left control axis will be completely attached, which as we see in the image will have a crosshead and joystick in an asymmetric position with respect to the right module. .

Inside, in the absence of knowing the technical specifications, we will have an operating system Android 11 and, therefore, the Google Play store will arrive as standard. This will allow users to make use of other multimedia applications to watch movies and series; from YouTube to Netflix, through Amazon Prime, Spotify or other entertainment apps, not necessarily video games.

Specifications and videos: this will be GPD XP

Internally, GPD XP will have an ARM processor – it has not transpired which one -, although it is already speculated with a MediaTek Helio G95 chip (8 cores) accompanied by 6 GB of RAM and an internal memory of 128 GB, expandable by microSD cards . In the absence of official confirmation, from Android Authority They point to an LCD panel and a 7,000 mAh battery.
